Councillor Doyle presented a notice of motion with regard to Incentive Options for Woodlot Conservation. This matter will be listed on the October 30, 2023 agenda for discussion and voting.

That administration prepare an updated report for the March 4, 2024 Council meeting outlining potential Incentive options only, both to encourage the preservation of existing woodlots and to encourage the expansion of tree cover across the Municipality. The report shall also propose options for further public consultation regarding the various incentive options.

That when the report returns to Council, administration consider the need for the Natural Heritage Committee of the Whole and the potential to dissolve the Committee, seeing how it is no longer active.
