4 — Recess to Closed Session

That Council moved into a Closed Session Meeting of Council pursuant to Section 239 of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, for the following reasons:

10(a) — Disclosure of Pecuniary Interest - Councillor Wright (Snow Removal Contract)

His business does work for the recommended bidder.

14 — Consent Agenda Approval

16(a) — RFP Award R24-261 Transitional Cabins Chatham Project

associated with Transitional Housing Program be awarded to NOW Housing.

16(b) — Contract Award T24-152 Snow Removal and Winter Maintenance

T24-152 Snow Removal & Winter Maintenance Contract in the amount of $122,707.36 (including HST) per snow event be awarded to the various contractors listed within.

16(c) — RFP Award R24-217 Queens Line and Merlin Road Intersection Improvements

The proposal in the amount of $6,587,593.77 (including HST) for the Construction Services for Queens Line and Merlin Road Intersection Improvements be awarded to Huron Construction, a division of Brennan Paving & Construction Ltd.

16(d) — Single Source Washers and Dryers at Riverview Gardens

The Economic Development Officer provided with an update on the Wheatley Revitalization project.

27 — Adjournment

"That Chatham-Kent Council adjourn to its next Meeting to be held on Monday, September 23, 2024 and that Chatham-Kent Council authorize itself to meet in closed session on that day to discuss any matters permitted by The Municipal Act."
