Whereas reading the agenda and pulling reports are one of the requirements of the Councillors role,
Whereas another role Councillors have is to make motions as a way of bringing change or finding out information about items to make improvements to our municipality;
Whereas some constituents also vote Councillors in office thinking that they will be able to help them reduce our taxes;
Therefore, be it resolved that council direct administration to bring a report back by the September 14th, 2026 council meeting with a report showing the following:
• List each Councillor and the Mayor out, and show how many total items each Councillor/Mayor has pulled from the Council agendas this term• how many motions they have made• how many successful motions they have made• how many motions during budget discussions that they made• how many successful motions during budget discussions they made.
